Lift Others Up

The most genuine thing you can do is to give to others with no expectation of anything in return. Much of my life has been like that, and continues to be like that. This way of thinking and acting fills my heart. It makes my heart bigger and allows me to do more than I thought possible.

It can be as simple as opening a door for someone with too many bags, helping an elderly person across the street, helping someone put groceries in the car, picking up something that someone dropped so they don’t have to, paying for food the person behind you in line, asking someone how they are doing, and making someone laugh and smile. So much good can from just small acts of kindness.  Each one of us has the potential to give more, to be more, to do more.

And when someone is on a health journey, or is trying to lose weight to feel better— don’t sabotage them! Support them, encourage them! Give them a kind word. Unless you can understand what weight truly feels like, you can’t understand how hard it is to mentally allow the weight to come off. So lift others up who are trying to get healthier, who are exercising more, eating better! Help them! Be kind!!!

Giving to others is so self-rewarding. I love the reaction when I can make someone else feel better. It makes me better. I want to be a better person each and every day. And, the ripple effect is that they will pay it forward when they are able to.

If you can change just one life, it is worth it. The reward is the knowledge and that inner feeling… giving you hope for a better world… making your heart warm and energetic to help more people. It’s worth more than words, more than money… expect nothing in return and see how great you become!!
